"Wow. Remember the first time we came here? Or about the time we 'met' Zard?" With only the criteria of "fun with companion" in mind, Nox's suggestion was to come to Twinkle Park. He had worn all of his new military attire, presumably to break it all in. Whether or not it was due to the 'Cute Couples Get In Free' promotion, or Nox's clout as a general and paragon of didtain of villainy, or even that his wife was an accomplished stealth-artist, that they skipped the entrance fees remain to be seen. He was pondering what to do now they were here, also hoping that the place wasn't so much of a glorified death-trap as it was on his last visit several years ago. The woman accompanying the general treads cautiously. She'd taken notes from this place when it came to trap design, after all. "...So far so good: they took out the spike pit trapdoors. And the exploding barrels are gone too." A Dark Burst impacts against a nearby floor tile. The spring-loaded spike ball launcher of old appears to be gone. "Okay, the coast's clear! ...It's hard to think of this place as anything but life-threatening." Indeed, her only experiences with such places were limited to Twinkle Park in its Innocent-Looking Deathtrap-laden glory, and the carnival grounds on Angel Island, which had been her lair for a good three years. Neither was particularly safe in any sense of the word. |

As Ciara turns back to Nox, she notices that he is smoking again. His cigarette is deliberately positioned so the incense smoke drifts up into his nostrils. "Yeah. I seem to recall, err,... Huh, the Park's moved around a bit. There was a castle wall, or something, that we raced up. I remember, because it's where we found my Emerald. ...ah, I was much fitter back then, I could almost keep up with you..." |

"Yeah, that had to be...our first...competition? ...that was nice. Still can't believe how you turned it down when I offered, despite you having an eye for all the shinies." He reaches behind him and pulls the yellow Chaos Emerald out of his axe haft. Through everything his axe had been through, it was still unscratched. He puts it back after a fond stare. "We COULD look around for the castle. Or we could settle for the wheel. I'm ok for either..." Nox rolls the cigarette in his mouth before walking (right past a smoking ban sign). |
