Iza watched him eat for a few moments before feasting on her food. While she didn't eat sloppily, she ate quickly due to her hunger. She strayed away from the food she didn't know, as being wary of them.

After finishing off about three pieces of fruit, Tails spoke after finishing his food up. She looked over to him, blinking, then nodded. She swallowed before speaking.

"Thank you, Tails. For all of this. I wish I could repay you for this, but I don't know what you would need me for."

She gave a small laugh, indicating that he had plenty of robots and such to help him out with many things, even things she couldn't complete on her own.

Iza finished up, giving a satisfied grin and leaning back with her hands in her pockets.

After several more bites, Tails felt full. After putting down the silverware, he motioned the robot to go, floating back into the ceiling. He let the other floating bot stay, its platter of fruit still available to the herbivore. Standing, he tapped a small device around his wrist, another holographic display appearing in front of him. After a few entered commands, a door at the end of a hall opened. Lights inside cast shadows that extended past the door. Several aircraft were visible, a gold-on-blue jet--the famed Tornado--and a reconstruction of his first plane, a red-and-white biplane with the word "Sonic" painted on each side. Mysteriously, the left side's sign was painted backwards. It was an exact replica.

"When you're ready, meet me in there," he said, walking toward the hangar. "I'll prepare our transport."

Iza waited for him to finish up and answer her, eyes once again wandering around. How was one to create such a large place? It probably took him at least a few years to get this done. And he was still a kid. He must've had a lot of time on his hands.

She looked over to where light was coming from, door opened to reveal...what were those things? They had a shape of a bird.

Iza understood after a few minutes of thinking. Those were those impossibly giant birds that made a lot of noise in the sky. Yes, she had no idea what a plane was.

"Ehh, okay."

So they rode giant birds? How strange. She would never get the modern world.

Iza looked around, grabbing one more piece of fruit and stuffing it in her pocket before walking after the fox into the place where the giant birds were.

The hangar was enormous, as Iza saw when she entered the hangar. The door slid closed behind her, a pneumatic seal separating the two rooms with a hiss. At least a dozen crafts were splayed out across the hangar, which wrapped elegantly along the cliff side, blending in perfectly. The hangar appeared to wrap around in either direction, but larger vehicles--touting jets and tiled surfaces, possibly spacecraft--blocked the view. The fox had climbed into a long, box-like plane, touting a set of wings set high on its surface. The wings were equipped with large air turbines, jets on the end of the foil, while a set of larger engines were packed on the back. There seemed to be other mechanisms for propulsion, including on the vehicle's belly. It was supported by three large legs set on flexible springs, absorbing the pull of gravity against its weight.

The inside the craft was much like a helicopter, with several seats against the cockpit and more against the back of the cabin. The fuselage was colored a distinct dark blue, with blotches of a dark gray splashed on it. Tails had strapped into the pilot seat, a series of specialized controls within his grasp. "Strap in! We'll be in Westopolis in a few minutes."

As Iza walked in, her eyes shot around to the many different birds around. Looking closer, however, she realized that they had a metallic surface.

'They're machines! But how...Ugh. I'm not even going to think about it.'

Iza rubbed her head as she followed to where Tails was in a cut out area for the machine bird, with glass above and in front of him and other seats inside. He must have a lot of people who want to use the machine.

The lemur jumped in, walking over to a seat behind the fox and staring at the controls. How would he...? No. No more. Or her brain would explode.

At the words "strap in", Iza looked around to see a few pieces of long, strong cloth that fit into sockets on the sides of her seat. She blinked, assuming to put them there, and so she went through with the actions before looking straight toward Tails.

"Are ya sure this is safe?"

"Of course! Airplane crashes are really low compared to crashes in trains or even cars! Though the fatallity rate is much higher... Welp, to the city!" With a crank of a lever and a push of a button, the vehicle shuddered to life. It hovered in the air, the vertical turbines thrusting air against the hangar floor. The cliff-face door retracted up and down, and the hangar floor extended to form a short runway. An explosion pushed them forward as the jet engine activated, thrusting them out of Tails' workshop. Turning, they headed toward Westopolis, the largest city in the world.
