"Huff...huff...Hah? Where am I now?"

Iza, who had been running through the forest in slight surprise to a sudden loud growl, roar, or whatever you wanted to call it, sounded nearby. Imagination could only think of the limits as to what it was. It startled her enough so she started running. Now, standing there, observing the forest, she seen a tree that had fell due to weathering. Embarrassed, she rubbed the back of her head and looked around.

"These must be ruins. Or some kind of tourist trap. Oh well, it has to have some connection to a city."

Iza gave a small nod, then observed her surroundings more thoroughly. It's what she thought it was; ruins and jungle. She could hear a train, however, so that was a possibility for her to head to. It had to head to some larger city, where she would be able to be updated on whatever was going on in the world right now.

Seeing as though her knowledge was limited to the amount of around ten years it took for news to reach them when they were off in that nameless land.

Iza started walking, rubbing the top of her head and keeping an eye out for anything strange.

To her right, a small slope, covered in grass disturbed recently, led up to a set of odd train tracks. Smaller than usual railroad tracks--the first sign that they were not actuallyhey seemed to go into and through the cliff side that surrounded that part of the, though no light made its way through entirely. It could stretch on for miles and miles... or have a few turns and end in just a few meters. Either way, it seemed to be the only real way out of the jungle.

Iza kept watch around her, and after a few moments gave a small whine of distress. It wasn't like her to whine, but this was the first time she was frustrated to such a point.

"There must be no way outta...here?"

The lemur's eyes seemed to catch the slope to her right, also spotting the tracks that were atop it. She had only seen trains once or twice, but it seemed a bit too big to fit on the tracks. So where would they lead?

"Hah. There's only one way to find out."

After giving a small nod to herself, Iza walked up to where the tracks were. She looked down both ways. One way lead into the jungle; other into a cliff. The cliff seemed to be a better option. After giving a small sigh, she walked forward, following the path of the tracks.

Through the darkness she went, the light of day dissipating behind her. The echoing thuds of the track ties beneath her padded feet--made only by her meager weight--filled every nook and cranny of the expertly-excavated tunnel, resounding back into her ears. However, after only a few short minutes, light once again flooded the tunnel, finally leading out where a lone trolley stood. Beyond, a wondrous waterfall filled a small pool, perfectly clear, and atop a hill a ways off a small workshop--little more than a shack, really--stood out against the deep blue of the oceanic horizon. The train, chugging off from the small station, traveled off somewhere forward and a bit to the right.

Iza kept walking forward, arms crossed in front of her and an annoyed, frustrated look on her face. As she got deeper and deeper into the cave cut out for the track, the darker it got. Her look turned from it's tightened and angered form to a more worried form What if this led out somewhere back into the forest? Or it was never ending inside the cliff wall.

Slowly, however, a light slowly appeared at the end. A smile spread across her face, and finding some new determination, Iza raced to the light. What was revealed surprised her slightly.

"I don't think I'm in the forest anymore."

Iza gave a small snort, then looked around, observing what was there. Everything looked normal, but as she looked, her eyes rested on the station resting atop a raised platform. She blinked, then gave yet another grin and started to head toward it.

"Maybe that heads into the city...or possibly somewhere else. I just hope it's the first option."

Though the train had just left, a small sign above the platform read "Station Square Enterprises," and a large-font list of times read that it would be coming back... now. Another train pulled into the same spot, the doors opening. Unfortunately, another sign read "30r"--30 rings--as a boarding cost. Devoid of money, the lemur would not be able to get to the city through that route, at least for now.

Iza got up to where the station was, stepping forward to where the board listed the times that the train would arrive and leave. However, right as she did that, the train left. The girl gave a huff of, once again, frustration.

"What bad timi--Huh?"

Iza's head swiveled over to where yet another train appeared in the station. Her expression quickly changed, once again, and she started to head toward the train.

Yet another sign stopped the lemur. It told her that she needed rings to board the train. A small wave of shock, followed by even more frustration, went through the girl.

"Of course; no convenience for me. Stupid train fees...how am I supposed to get there now?"

Iza frowned, crossing her arms in front of her and walking away from the station. It wasn't like she could come up with 30 rings out of the blue. It would be impossible, even for a former gypsy.

The lemur walked back down and out to the center of the area, looking around for yet another way to go.

Though a path did trail off from the station into a series of caves, the only viable--and safe--option seemed to be to search the shack on the hill for some rings. It seemed abandoned: no smoke escaped the chimney, no light escaped the windows. However, this was not an absolute fact, as there was always the possibility that someone was nearby, doing yard work or some other menial task.

Iza's eyes first seemed to spot a series of caves that seemed to off endlessly. After giving a few blinks of her amber eyes, she shook her head and turned another way.

"No way I'm going back in there."

So, once again, she looked around until the settled on the shack that was atop the hill. She stared at it for a few seconds before giving a small sigh and scratching the back of her head.

"It seems abandoned...But it might not be...Whatever. I'll have to risk it."

Yes, she did have a habit of talking to herself.

Iza walked up to the small shack, looking around the area for possible signs of life that were dwelling within. After confirming that there was no life, she walked forward and pushed open the door.

The shack was abandoned, it seemed--and securely looked. Even the windows were reinforced, solid steel secretly riveted into place behind the pane. If the pane was reinforced, who knew how hard the glass could be? Peering inside, the guts of the building were benches and shelves filled with random devices and gadgets, arranged in no particular order. In fact, the only pattern they aligned themselves with seemed to be chaos. Off to one side, a wooden walkway lead down, crisscrossing the steep cliffs toward a small beach below. Two figures were visible, discussing something of great importance, it seemed.
