The expedition to this point will be skipped, due to the multitude of potential routes, and therefore possible multiple topics over several subforums. Saigo has stayed behind with the armored troop carrier, whereas Nox and Ciara have travelled across the island, taking what was previously described as 'The Long Route' through the passage beneath the pyramids of Sandopolis, and the molten core of Angel Island. And now, finally...
"Ah... cooler air, finally! It's just past this next tunnel!"

"......"
Nox has been almost silent the entire second half of the trip. He's mostly been hanging behind, and looking at everything besides Ciara. He looks like he's had a few sleepless nights, and he keeps groping at the fur on his chest.

A few more feet into the tunnel, and suddenly a wave of cool air rushes in... accompanied by a feeling of absolute tranquility. The path opens into a vast crystalline chamber, decorated only by various murals scratched into the walls. Several flights of stairs climb towards the ceiling of the cavern, so high that it cannot actually be seen from the ground...
"And here we are. The Hidden Palace, in all it's glory."

Nox closes his eyes, but resumes walking forwards. His movements suddenly become rigid.
"By the holiest of holy. By the wettest of water. By the most sacred of sanctity. Kutsal ve kutsal olarak. En su ıslak olarak. En kutsal kutsal olarak. After so long. I have found it. Sonra çok uzun. Onu bulduk."
Tears are streaming down his face, and he's breathing extremely quickly. At this rate, he's going to hyperventilate and dehydrate.

"...Just take a deep breath, Nox. We don't want you suffocating before you get a chance to do this..."

Nox continues to gabble to himself between English and his own language. It all has the same basic message - utter disbelief and sustained shock. An entire tribe's aspirations to find this place is now spewing out of Nox's shaking lips. He's moving like a wooden marionette, and not even in any particular direction.
He's white as a clean sheet, and his fur is puffed out to the extent where he's now twice his original size. He was stained by the ash from the Reef, and filthy from his sweat in the heat. His axe is changing randomly between a full blaze, smouldering, and ice cold.
In one hand, he still has a handful of fur. In the other, his book is scrunched into a leafed scroll. He had mostly kept to the latter during the boat-ride, always trembling in his jottings.
Now, if there was any seismic activity, it would probably be originating from Nox's body. Whatever he's doing, he's not there. His movements could qualify as some sort of seizure, his ravings could indicate schizophrenia, and his eyes are darting every which way. In reality, he's still in a conscious BSoD.
After a few seconds of shambling....
"C...c... Ciara... Tüm kalbimizle, Tepes çoğu nesiller tesekkür ederim."
Err... "Thank you"?

"...Okay, maybe this wasn't such a good-"
And what force is to praise for the presence of my ever-reckless disciple here today?"
The voice emits from the stone itself with an unexpected suddenness. Naturally...
"YIIIAAAH! D-Don't sneak up on me like... that?"
...No source for the voice of Chaos seems to be present.
Ha ha ha... Ciara Annetta Tepes, I believe I remember you now. It is all coming back to me... to think, as a child, you played and lived amongst my domain without even knowing. I am amazed I did not recognize you for who you were long ago... a 'messiah' indeed. Living in the home of a deity, to appear from the sky before my last remaining disciple, to eventually lead him back here. Now I truly wish I had been more aware of the desert tribes and their worship, so I may have taken credit for all this myself.
"...I-I think I'm going to step outside now..."
You have just as much right to be here as your husband. Now then... Noxedwin, while I am not truly versed in your tribe's rituals and customs, I do have an inkling of why you are here. The altar at the highest alcove of the palace... go there now.

Nox's eyes open wide and suddenly flash. The voice seems to have shaken some sense back into him, and his linguistic skills.
"Y-yes. As you c-command."
While his movement was still a little wooden, he makes straight for the stairs and begins climbing, axe in hand.
He seems to have forgotten Ciara altogether. It was just him, the voice, and the stairs under him. His voice is flat and entranced.
"A girl...with shining young beauty...fell from the stars.... We met. She changed my life... ...I was dispondent, lonely, sad,...living in squalor...with the ghouls of my past. She healed my life's wounds...with her companionship. She made a new cat out of me. She stood by me all the way. Her patience is saintly, for she has endured my habits and shortcomings with nothing short of smile and straight back, with nary an argument or complaint. She tended to me in illness and injury, saved me when I fell, assisted me in my recuperation. I repaid her by placing her life before mine. ...And now, she has found what my people had lost for generations, and has led me to this holiest of places - the goal of many generations of my tribe... We have met, but not with coincidence, nor dumb luck. Our togetherness was a godly contrivance. I was not long for this world...until I was blessed with her......"

Fate works in mysterious ways indeed. Much of the time, a deity does not get a say in the doctrine of His or Her own religion, and yet the fates will strive to make prophecy come true anyway. Even if not dictated by me, who is to say she is not a proper messiah? And as for you... you come before me as a Savior today.
Nox now stands before a many-tiered altar, set with seven SIX gigantic, lightless gems. The remaining shards of the Master Emerald rest in the middle of this altar. The mystical aura of the palace is strongest here...
You are not here to repent for yourself, though that was your intention. There is no need for that. Instead, your task here is much more important. You carry with you a mission attempted by generations... and as the first to accomplish to his pilgrimage, you carry your entire tribe's hopes, dreams, and salvation. Recite to me the names of the fallen, to the best of your memory. Recite, and I shall seek their souls out amidst purgatory, and bring them under my protection.
(Ooo! Ooo! I've got this one dood! Lessee... here! Got the whole list jotted down right here. Recite away!)

Everything definable about Nox's emotion or state of mind is still obliterated. Each name flows from his mind and out of his mouth.
"Jacklin Teidrich, my childhood friend. Eli Rohan, my other...friend. Effie Bryce. Lucrecia Derrin. Tali Zorah. Ricklin Crescend. Damon Burse. Nina Errent. Wrex Cole. Astley Rodgins..."
The list continues with Nox hardly stopping for breath. he stumbles and chokes on a few names. Many of them are unique or exotic with titles or decorations prefixed to them, and with a few mundane names. After a minute or so of monotonous recounting...
"...W-Warmaster Emmerich Tepes. Tanya Riscul Olgovitch Tepes. Lukin Brintah Tepes. Tannis Rouk Tepes. Rey Bradok Tepes. Ethanus Tepes. Ivor Tepes, Claris Inphyy Tepes. Ezekiel Tepes. And... and... Vizier Tobias Gilius Tepes."
