General Information Name: Metal Knuckles (Goes by Nux) Race: Robotic Echidna Age: 12 (Sonic R was released in 1997.) Description: Metal Knuckles is primarily red, with a chrome, long-snouted muzzle with large screws bolted into the cheeks, silver arm partitions, and other accents. He has neon green, ovular ring-shaped eyes overlaid on black sclera. 5 flexible tendrils that are accented in white draping down around its head in an imitation of Knuckles' dreadlocks — they resemble fan blades a bit and the bottom of these tendrils are flat and segmented in yellow. Buff-chested physique with Knuckles' trademark crescent shape painted onto the chest area, while sticking out of the back of his body is the exhaust segment of the engine, taking the shape of a large silver cylinder. His Arms and legs have two points of articulation and the first segment of each is but a simple chrome beam while the second segment is a thick, cylindrical red piece that starts at the knees/elbows. The very large red pieces serving as hands have a yellow dome accent on top, and coming out of the ends are two long and razor-sharp claws glossed in chrome. Red and yellow, flexible shoes that resemble Knuckles down to the bolted plate on top (except there are only 3 large, ovular bolts) — the shoes connect to the lower green part of the limbs via a thick cylinder of chrome that is visible on the sides of the shoes Bio: Metal Knuckles' existence served a far more dull and outmoded purpose than Metal Sonic's. Metal Knuckles was created to simply be a diversion for Sonic during his participation in the World Grand Prix. Turns out that Eggman knew the Chaos Emeralds were scattered among the tracks of the race, so he constructed some robots to do the dirty work for him. Metal Knuckles happened to be the one that was to intercept Sonic at the Reactive Factory track, but in the end, Sonic managed to collect the Chaos Emeralds himself, winning the Grand Prix and smoking his friends and foes in his cosmic dust. Since then, Metal Knuckles has been in stasis, awaiting activation. That's right, he's been in stasis for 12 years. It's worth noting that he came online a short while ago... in a VERY old abandoned Eggman base. A standing order for if he's ever activated following stasis and Eggman is not present, he is to locate Eggman. And so, he's doing just that. Personality: Nux isn't exactly an independent model, and thus follows his orders from Eggman to the letter. He does, however, seem to possess a cruel streak, and dislikes Knuckles enough to go out of his way to inconvenience his organic counterpart. Alignment: Evil/Eggman Combat Data Strategic Summary: Metal Knuckles relies on a combination of heavy blows and his rather impressive maneuverability to pound the crap out of people. With abilities in line with (some would say superior to) Knuckles, it should come as no surprise that Nux utilizes a fair number of Knuckles's abilities. An exception exists though: Metal Knux cannot float, and thus sinks in water. Despite this, he is water proof and does not need air. Signature Attack: Drill Claw/Spiral Upper Si. Attack Attributes: The same move from different directions, Drill Claw has Nux hurl himself towards the ground fists first, spinning his body at a nearly impossible speed to form a drill. It can penetrate right through foes, and drill him right into the ground for digging. The reverse version, Spiral Upper, is much the same, but is done from the ground upward, pushing off and spinning to create the same effect. This can give Nux an altitude of about 18 ft from launch point. Special Attack: Black Shield Sp. Attack Attributes: This ability, originally found in the Metal Sonic unit, was added to Metal Knuckles's arsenal at an unspecified point. Using it, Nux clams up in a fetal position and is able to enshroud itself in a diamond-shaped shield of black energy, protecting it from harm. However, due to the way this attack is utilized, it renders Nux completely vulnerable to, say, getting pushed off a cliff, and he is effectively in a (brief) form of Stasis. Chaos Power: Chaos Shield Ability Description: Metal Knuckles gets a temporary (3 post) 'armor' covering sections of his body (they're flat 'shards' of his Black Shield placed to provide protection). This is extended by one post per Chaos Emerald in his possession. As per normal, he can enter Super Form with all seven. Super Form details forth coming. Tried to remain faithful to the canon design, hit a bit of difficulty with the combat section (his only game is a racing game x.x) and just sorta winged it from Knuckle's abilities. Tossed Black Shield in when I saw that Metal Sonic lacked it, and Chaos Shield seemed appropriate. Edited by Nine, Sep 26 2009, 08:22 AM.

I'm done with it. I just hope that it won't be less fun to play than a normal being. |

I'd like move Metal Knux to NPC status. I can play him, and would continue to, but given that he is very much reliant on Eggman being present or played, and I was kind of absent for the final arc for various reasons, I have no idea what to do with him. So, I'm going to leave him laying around as an NPC, and bring him out to play again later, as Robotnik has apparently given up taking over the world. |
