"I didn't!" he exclaimed, staggering forward a step before falling down, resting his weight on his sword. It slowly sank into the mud. "Urgh!" he said, pulling his katana from the sticky soup, spraying mud everywhere. "Just great," he muttered. "I just went way too fast on my Gear," he explained, walking past Maldrid to the pyramid, turning and slumping back against the rough surface a bit harder than his ass would like. He cringed as his tailbone reverberated in pain. |
