Using several currents, the two ended up shooting past Emerald Beach, and landing in the center of Ocean Palace. A wave over took the two of them, dumping them onto a block of land. The island they now stood on was surrounded by pillars, and several paths. The ground was wet due to the platform being close to water and waves constantly splashing over. "What was that!?" Gooshi yelled at Stock. "That was a wave, my good fellow." Stock replied with a large grin spread across his face. "I meant what do you have that the robot wanted! You nearly got us both killed! I am starting to wonder if I really need that Chao Walker still." Gooshi complained. "Do you like lasagna?" Stock asked, holding a plate of the steaming food in his hand. "Wh-what? Where did you even get that? Forget it, it isn't important. You have some explaining to do. How on Earth did you do that blasty thing back with the robot? Is that why he was after us?" "I 'unno," The salamander stated, his mouth filled with the food he found. He swallowed without chewing much, since he didn't have teeth in the first place. "Sometimes, people shouldn't ask such hard questions." "Stock, answer me. If it is not worth my time following you-" He stopped for a moment. Stock didn't quite understand that he was paying him back. "-If it isn't worth my time following you, I won't be your friend anymore." Stocks eyes narrowed at the words before he started giggling. "What?" "You are my best friend!" He giggled excitedly. Gooshi just shook his head. "Hey, it isn't like I am the only one who has secrets. Why did you have a chao walker? Who sent you on a mission?" He asked, without actually making eye contact with Gooshi, and eating more food. "Rrrr... It doesn't work like that! Quit dodging the question!" While the two bickered about secrets neither one of them were going to reveal, they were totally unaware of anyone or anything that might have been watching them. "Theeeeeeeeeeeereeee... That isss the one theeeererre." A robot groaned, watching Stock and Gooshi from behind a pillar. "The chaaao seemsss to beee working nicsssssely..." "Should we report back to base Captain?" Another robot asked. The Captain just stared at his underling. "Nooooo. I have a betteeer plaaaann. Our missssion is to obseeerrrrrve the blue one." With a powerful kick from his rounded foot, the Captain kicked the other robot out from behind the pillar, followed by a side kick which sent him flying into the bickering couple. "Eggman's robots!" Gooshi yelled, jumping backwards. "I like eggnog! It tastes like delicious." Stock yelled into the sky. The robot was certainly rotund, and looked very much like a Egg Pawn, but did not have the traditional paint job that so clearly identified Eggmans robots. It was blue and and white, and had narrow red eyes. It delivered a powerful punch at Gooshi, sending him flying into the ocean before turning to Stock. Dashing to the edge, he saw no sign of his chao pal. He was about to jump before a large pinkish barrier went up, enclosing both him and the pawn inside. "W-Well... It is just an Egg Pawn. It shouldn't be too hard." He gulped as he ran at the fat robot. It grabbed him by the face before it started beating on him. Stock hadn't had much time to rest between his battles, and took the punches, before lashing out with a punch, sending the robot away. Both hurried at each other, unleashing a flurry of punches, often hitting one punch with another. The pawn grabbed onto one of Stocks gill stalks and sent him flying towards a thin pillar in the center of the field. Spinning and bouncing off of it, he was sent flying back towards the pawn, his legs tucked in. Thrusting them outwards, he jumped off of the robot, and was sent flying back towards the pillar. Lashing out his tongue, he wrapped it around the pillar swinging around it, to get sent back towards the robot, another kick prepared. Obliterating the body of the robot, he slammed into the barrier after shooting right through him. The Captain however, still hidden just out of the field, snickered slightly. "Yeesssss... That will do well." He deactivated the perimeter around Stock, and slid quietly away. Gooshi by this point had climbed back onto the platform, and looked at Stock. "It is really a pain that I have to stay with you." He said tapping his foot. "We should probably leave. I can't destroy anymore robots today!" He yelled into the sky. "And to think, I have nearly died on multiple occasions, and I have known you for less than six hours." The chao sighed, jumping onto the salamanders shoulders. "We should find a place to rest."
