The capital city of the country, and residence of the President. Westopolis is a sprawling concrete jungle filled with activity. This place is normally very busy. Strangely, a few of the ground level streets still have fatal abyss drops along them.

This resort and beach is one of the main attractions of Station Square. Featuring full accommodations and murderous killer whales (they normally cost extra), it is the perfect place to spend a night or two... or three... as long as you don't go out on the boardwalks that run between the shore and the many islands that dot the shallows.

The mother of all Chao Gardens, this island is connected by a bridge on the northern part of the city. Right now only the Neutral Garden is open.

This area has a lovely waterfall, a train stop, and Tail's workshop. There is a Chao Garden somewhere around here, and it is rumored that there is a windy tunnel that leads to an entry way to the legendary Angel Island.

Found by several miners, at the end of a mining tunnel located near the waterfall is a huge forest. Ancient ruins dot its surface, and it ends with a gigantic cliff, leading down to even more jungle.

Also, Big the Cat lives here.

These air-driven ruins are much larger than once thought. From the Mystic Ruins, there is a cave that whisks people away to a high-up mountain valley filled with ruins and insane wind currents. A mysterious cave opened here recently, and seems to be emanating some sort of energy.

Pumpkin Hill was but a small part of this odd-shaped mountain range. Many parts of these mountains, pumpkin-shaped or otherwise, are considered haunted, from the peaks of the glowing jack-o-lanterns to the deep, half-sunken mines. These mountains lie to the west of Rail Canyon.

What the... who designed this? Large spires topped with cannons a safe transportation system do not make! Home to many adrenaline junkies' dreams, and home to many Extreme Gear races. The canyons eventually run into the Pumpkin Hills to the west and the Dusty Desert of Soleanna to the east.

The Pumpkin Mountains are actually part of a larger chain that leads directly to the northern pole, where, unlike the rest of the mountains, many Mobians exist. The people here may be cut off from the rest of the world but are very open and welcoming.

Formerly known as Castle Town, this desolate crater was the precise point of impact for the orbital laser blast that had once broken the planet into seven pieces. While the town was able to evacuate before the blast, the land itself has been scorched beyond repair, and has been rendered uninhabitable.

Somehow, the only part of Soleanna to survive the orbital laser that otherwise obliterated the nation was the desert. Funny, how what is already desolate could not be destroyed any further... This desert connects to Rail Canyon far from Soleanna.

This mostly flat terrain runs from a large coast to a set of mighty mountains, far east of Westopolis and across a vast ocean. Cultures similar to those of Asia have popped up here over the centuries, mastering the art of the sword and the manipulation of chi. Hran is currently in good stances with GUN, taking active part in military practices.

This floating nation, cloaked for centuries from the world, was once three times the size of Angel Island; now, after years of warfare that scattered or killed its inhabitants, little remains besides Cyber City, its capital, containing the Temple of Cybera and the Meteor Crystal.

The land east of Hran, across the mighty mountain range, is a mostly barren wasteland. Oases and small villages dot the landscape, with the world's tallest dunes--some nearly ten stories high--shifting the horizon.

Mazuri is a vast savanna located far south of Hran and the Shamari desert. Its people are considered "uncivilized" to most of the world, and war often breaks out involving GUN weaponry. Though it is a land of political turmoil, most people here thrive.

The distinctly oriental village of Chun-nan is a pretty one indeed, with a small waterfall to one end, coursing a river flow through the village. Several shops nearby sell appropriate food; meat buns, peach buns, noodles and the like. There are several huts and pagodas, which the villagers seem to live together in.

This extremely long stone road is bridged with lifesize Lung Dragons composed of wood. Much of this road has eroded, and parts are prone to falling into the river. The river itself has large ships moving along them, transporting the village's contraband.

A large stone temple seated deep in the country of Chun-nan. This archaic structure houses many secrets. The temple is said to be guarded by the Gaia Phoenix, a huge bird of intense flames, always watching for those defiling the temple.

Also known as the Floating Island, this land mass actually hovers several hundred meters over the ocean, thanks to the power of the Master Emerald housed within. That is, if not for the shattering of the Master Emerald into 20 pieces. Angel Island now floats upon the ocean, awaiting the return of its power source.

A simple island. To the south. That is really the only notable thing about it.

The Death Egg, the Sky Armada and Final Fortress, the Egg Carrier 2... all of Eggman's previous installations have drifted to this point on the map, and Eggman has built a massive iron fortress on top of the resulting island. Rumors persist that a metal spire runs from the underside of the island to the center of the earth itself...

A sprawling GUN facility located on a jungle island, this base is used as a prison for some of GUN's most wanted enemies. This is also the launch base for much of GUN's aerial and naval fleet. The GUN base was recently completely destroyed by a nuclear blast set off by an awakened ARK experiment, with many awakened experiments vying to reach the surface.

Lying far off the coast of Westopolis, this chain of islands sports a magnificent marvel of engineering after which the islands were named: Adabat City, the city of the waves. The main island is mostly jungle, however, and is mostly uninhabited. Adabat City still serves as a very important international port.

A city under the sea, not so much built as grown out of coral. It is a safe haven for those who have given up their villainous ways, but the locals take harshly to anyone who commits a crime.

After the world was brought back together, one piece didn't seem to fit. It sits high above the atmosphere, past the ARK, somehow containing its own atmosphere. No one has studied it much, as of late, but plans have been made to visit it soon.
